Unlike, 10th,12th or graduation, ITI is a job oriented course. It means definitely you are going to get a job after the completion of the ITI course.
You have wide varieties of choices to choose after successfully finishing your course from any trade.
We have listed out all the paths for your better future. Have a look at them and choose wisely what is the best for you.
CHOICE 1:- ENTRANCE EXAMS AFTER ITIs:-
Govt sectors like ISRO, DRDO, BSNL, SAIL, GAIL, BHEL, MINISTRIES, PwD, DEFENSE, RAILWAY etc are periodically conducting exams to appoint ITI grads for their vacancies.
These entrance exams are comparatively easier to crack. If you have studied properly your trade theory parts during you ITI course then do a little hard work and by-hand the arithmetic, reasoning and English parts of the entrance exams.
Almost every entrance exams ask questions from following topics
- Quantitative aptitudes (arithmetic + advanced maths)
- Reasoning (verbal + non verbal)
- English grammar
- GK/GS (general knowledge/general science)
So, be prepared for the next entrance exams after ITI.
CHOICE :2 :- CITS
If you are wondering what the hell CITS is, then we are going to clarify it in a simple language that CITS is equal to BEd in Technical format.
All govt Trade instructors are CITS qualified. You can also become A trade instructor by completing your one year CITS course.
For this you have to complete your ITI course. After that, you have to appear for entrance exam to join CITS course.
After completing your CITS course you can join as technical instructor in any reputed company or work as PTGI in any private ITC for one year.
After one year you are eligible to become a govt instructor.
CHOICE :- 3: APPRENTICESHIP
Apprenticeship, simply means working under an experienced trainer for a fixed month of time with a fixed amount of remuneration.
When it comes to apprenticeship, Railway apprenticeship is considered as lucrative and beneficiary for the future of ITIans.
You can easily join railway , ISRO, DRDO as an apprentice if you have scored good mark in your 10th & ITI.
Point to be noted:- Dont solely depend on the apprenticeship. If you are in your seond year of ITI or have completed your ITI course then take time, prepare for entrance exam and appear entrance exams held specially for ITI students.
CHOICE 4 : 12TH / +2
It is not necessary to do 12th after ITI. If you really want to do 12th after ITI then we have the best suggestion for you.
Yes, You can Do ITI +12th and it is not illegal. You can join NIOS. Where you can complete your ITI & 12th at a time. NIOS is a open school. It is not necessary to attend your class regularly (only go to appear final exams)
But ITI is a regular course and you have to attend class daily by all means.
So, consider joining NIOS if you want to do 12th + ITI or 12th after ITI.
CHOICE:5: +3 (graduation)
Happy news for ITI students. Recently IGNOU has declared that ITI students can do +3 even if they have not completed their 12th.
It means for IGNOU, ITI =12th.
So, consider joining +3 or graduation in IGNOU if you don't want to waste extra 2 years by joining 12th.
CHOICE:6:UPLOAD YOUR RESUME ON NAUKRI, MONSTER, SHINE
There is a sharp incline in the demand of ITI pass out students for industries. That is why HRs are lurking around online employment portals like NAUKRI, MONSTER, LINKED IN, FACEBOOK JOBS to get a suitable trainee for their company.
If you have completed your ITI course then don't waste your time create a unique resume and upload it in any job sites mentioned above.
You will get call from recruiters within one or two weeks. Hey, but beware of fake scammers. They will try their their best to loot you but you have to try hard to save your pocket from them.
CHOICE 7:- CAMPUS CAMPUS & CAMPUS
No other choice. At last you have to join the campus as nothing worked for you. Campus is not bad. But it is not good for studious students. Campus is only for average performing students.
No wonder why only low scoring students in ITI choose campus. As it easiest among all choices.
But remember easy things don't give right kick when required.
Don't heavily depend on campus. Campus should be your last choice among all the career choices after ITI.
Do your best while studying in ITI so that you will not have to face the ill fate of campus recruitment.
CHOICE 8:- FOREIGN COUNTRY JOBS:-
ITI has no respect in our home country. Compared to other Asian & Western countries India is still far behind in terms of treating ITI students.
ITI trainees are well paid and well treated in European and gulf countries. If you are dreaming to work in any foreign country after completing your ITI then search online job sites visit websites of Reputed MNC companies and contact them.
Impress the HR with your skills and join company in your favoiurite foreign country.
You can also join foreign country companies through campus recruitment.
CHOICE :9 DIPLOMA/POLYTECHNIC
Diploma after ITI is 2 year course due to lateral entry. You can join diploma If you want to sharpen your technical skill.
Diploma students get higher salary compared to ITI students when they get job in any private or govt sector.
If you are not aged and willing to appear any entrance then Diploma after ITI is not bad for you.
CHOICE 10: SELF EMPLOYMENT:-
If you didnt like any of the above choices then surely this option will be your favorite one,
If you have gained enough practical knowledge from ITI and you want to implent that knowledge in society then you can become an entreprenuer or start a small shop/business for money.
For example a welder student can open a welding shop. A painter student can do painting jobs, An electrician csn open his own electric equipment repairing shop, an electronics mechanic can open has AC/cooler/tv repair shop
